Things really got hot on the ramp at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2010 when Killer presented Narendra Kumar’s rocking “Killer Nari” collection. Denim never looked more exciting and trendy as it did when the models sashayed down the catwalk.
Killer is the denim brand that has pioneered many styles and collections for men and women for two decades so it was but natural that the “Killer Nari” collection for stylishly thinking men and women; in association with top designer, Narendra Kumar will be the latest offering on the fashion front.
Drawing inspiration from sexy style icons like Kate Moss and Gisele Bundchen, the collection was a line of denim wear that could be mixed and matched to create the look for on the street styles or trendy formal wear.
The men’s line inspired by the ‘80s sports look had sporty jackets, shirts in colour blocking and contrasts, checks, prints and op art colours. Distressed and shredded with different washes the denim appeared for jeans, crushed shorts in blue, black and orange tones and was skin tight or slightly loose. Shirts were a mix of prints and solids or the negative positive shades, or as blousons with military touches some with shining shoulder patches, appliqués and at times sported a red checked yoke
Women’s jeans and shorts had reverse details, very skinny in the latest “jeggings” style and a single bell bottoms with contrast back pockets or jumpsuit accompanied with frilly gypsy tops or white shirts. Some draped and wrapped jersey dresses as well as smart shirt waisters gave a stylish look to women’s wear.
Unusual drop crotch jeans often had faded embroidery for both men and women. Slogan carrying tees had witty lines like “Sex Cells” and “Been there Dump that”.
Sexy Sonakshi Sinha star of the hit film “Dabaang” swung jauntily down the catwalk in grey jeans and printed ruffled neck short blouse.
Very commercial, trendy and practical, the “Killer Nari” collection by Narendra Kumar for Killer will be a great fashion entry into the markets for the coming season.
